Great food and drink. Nice Irish Charm. Perfect for a quick stop before hopping on a train out of 30th Street Station. The Cheese Steak was solid.
Solid spot for pub food. I was recently stranded and waiting for a tow for my scooter, and with a 2 hour arrival time, I needed to find something to do. I walk past every day but Irish food nor pub food are really my thing. I was pretty frazzled when I sat at the bar so it was great that the bartender was prompt and attentive. I ordered a pear cocktail, potato soup, and cheese curds. Cocktails were $1 off at happy hour and I think apps were a few $ off, as well. My pear drink was so delicious when I first got it but did not last well once the ice started melting. I opted for a glass of wine for my 2nd drink. The potato soup was tasty although I was very puzzled by carrots as an ingredient...maybe that's an Irish thing? Cheese curds were good, as well. All in all, my bill was $30 for the two drinks and 2 apps. Atmosphere was lively and music loud. I can see how this would be a fun space to grab drinks at.
Super convenient lunch spot after arriving at 30th street station around noon on a saturday. Not many people were there, so it was pretty quiet. I had the salmon BLT. Gucci.
I really enjoy slainte. The bartenders are great, service at the bar is always quick and friendly, and they have a great selection of pub food. The hot honey wings are delicious and so is the rueben. (I.e. all food that pairs well with guinness) Quizzo is Tuesdays @ 9:00pm.
